In keeping with this year’s Fair theme “Yesterday’s Memories and Tomorrows Dreams” We are pleased to present the 1st annual Garfield County Fair Car Show, Saturday August 9 at 11:30 immediately following the parade. The car show is open to all who love their automobiles, from the classic restoration and the 60’s muscle car to today’s zoom zooms. We invite all to participate and welcome the youth with their Hi-Tech racers to grandpa with his favorite old sedan. For a $20.00 entry fee participants will receive a grab bag, T-shirt and event pin.
The show is sponsored by Casey Concrete of Rifle, with participant Dash Plaques provided by Rifle CarQuest Auto Parts. Other sponsors of door prizes and giveaways are Alpine Bank, Rifle Napa Auto Parts, Rifle Conoco, Western Slope Trailers, Checker Auto Parts, Red Canyon Auto Body, Big O Tires Glenwood Springs and Piper Auto Sales.
Prizes will be awarded to the top twenty cars, and a Best of Show trophy will be awarded which will be determined by a panel of judges. A People’s choice award trophy will also be given. There will be door prizes and grab bags for the participants. We have some surprises in store for all, so come look, enjoy, but remember “don’t touch”.
