PRESS RELEASE
May 26, 2023

One of country music’s brightest stars has his sights set on the Garfield County Fairgrounds in Rifle. Chris Janson is headlining the 85th annual Garfield County Fair and Rodeo concert on Friday, July 28, and the doors open at 5 p.m. Kicking off the show is Nashville country music artist Chase Wright.

A master-class songwriter, entertainer, musician, vocalist, and member of the Grand Old Opry, Rolling Stone has called Janson “a live legacy in the making.” His multi-platinum hit “Buy Me a Boat” sailed to No. 1 on the iTunes chart and has sold more than 3 million downloads. His new single “All I Need is You” is a favorite on country music radio and smash hits “Done,” “Fix a Drink,” “Good Vibes,” and “Drunk Girl” are certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).

His songwriting talents have led to collaborations with fellow country stars including Tim McGraw, Eric Church, Cody Johnson, Blake Shelton, Hank Williams Jr., Travis Tritt, Justin Moore, LOCASH, Joe Nichols, and more.

A passionate outdoorsman and conservationist, Janson was recently honored with the “Fisherman’s Best Friend” award from Bass Pro Shops for his conservation efforts and promotion of the outdoor lifestyle. His signature black Bass Pro Shops hat has raised nearly $1 million for conservation and Janson has also earned a Tennessee Wildlife Federation (TNWF) award.

Wright’s career hit the ground running

Just a few years ago, Chase Wright was a freshman track star at DePauw University in Indiana. While at school, he picked up the guitar and didn’t look back. Wright’s freewheeling approach, energetic style, and inspiring songwriting have carved out a path to success for the 25-year-old rising star.

Wright’s heartfelt wedding anthem “Never Loved Before,” is sprinting its way up the charts, on the heels of his hit singles, “Wish You’d Miss Me” and “Hurt No More.” His country grooves are sure to get you up on your feet and dancing.
