GARFIELD COUNTY, CO – Applications are being accepted for four seats on the Garfield County Fair Board from Oct. 2 to Oct. 14, 2026. Garfield County residents over the age of 18 have the opportunity to help bring the Western Slope’s preeminent celebration of our agricultural heritage and Western lifestyle to fruition.

Volunteer board members serve three-year terms helping to plan, promote, and produce the annual Garfield County Fair & Rodeo. The fair board’s mission is to ensure high-quality programming for the fair that embraces all people, cultures, and entities in Garfield County, and to foster a spirit of community values while promoting our agricultural heritage and history.

Monthly fair board meetings alternate between Glenwood Springs and Rifle on the second Tuesday of each month starting at 6 p.m.
